Ways to prepare Peter's RiceGentle Boil
1) Rinse the rice in cold running water once or twice and drain the excess water.
2) Boil a large amount of water( 4-5 cups of water for 1 cup (200ml) of uncooked rice) in a vessel or pot, then add the grains and cook for 50-60 minutes on a low-medium flame with the lid partially covered, until soft and the remaining water is drained.
Pressure Cooker
The easiest and least time-consuming method to cook rice is the pressure cooking method.
1) Rinse the rice in cold running water once or twice and drain the excess water.
2) Add grains to the pressure cooker and pour 3 cups of water for 1 cup of rice and pressure cook on medium heat for 20-30 minutes, till it's fully cooked and soft enough.
Electric Rice Cooker
1) Rinse the rice in cold running water once or twice and drain the excess water.
2) Soak the rice in water before placing it in the rice cooker.
3) Cook till it's fully cooked and soft enough. Cooking time varies depending on the type of rice cooker and container used. Suggested only for a small serving of rice.
MICROWAVE METHOD
1) Rinse the rice in cold running water once or twice and drain the excess water.
2) Soak the rice in water and microwave the container.
3) microwave it till it's fully cooked and soft enough. Cooking time varies depending on the type of microwave and container used. Can be used when serving small quantity. The boiling time of rice can also vary.
THERMAL RICE COOKER
1) Fill the inner pot halfway with water and bring to a boil over high heat.
2) When the water begins to boil, add the rice.
3)Let the water and rice boil on high heat for some time.
4) Remove the pot from the heat and set it on the thermal cooker.
5) Remove the lid and set aside for about 30 minutes.
6) Remove the pot when the rice is fully cooked and soft enough to handle. Cooking times can vary depending on burner heat and rice quantity.
